it's almost 7:30 - just now waking up. 7:30 at night.
oh dear. getting more and more upside down. i have a bug. coughing, sneezing, achy ears, runny nose, sore throat........and still having back issues.
i was wiped out all day and then all of a sudden i HAD TO GET OUTTA THAT STUPID BED. get up,move, stretch, walk...........that lasted for about all of 8 minutes and now I'm sitting here in this chair in a stupor.
feel wimpy...........wimpy wimpy wimpy.
Not sad ......just sick and tired. The glands in my neck feel so swollen..........like a double wide trailer stuck inside the neck of a swan. incongruous and uncomfortable. It doesn't LOOK hugontious, but it feels like it is.
So what is going on here? The home next door that was abandoned by it's family many many moons ago was finally sold via auction. I would guess it's been empty for around two years. Today a big 'ol black Dually pulled up with a cab piled full of skinny roofers and a truck bed full of shingles.

just wanted to show you what testerone, a dually and mud are all about.........it's a big heavy duty truck with an extended cab......ya need a ladder to get in it. i never heard of them til i moved to the south.
they arrived at 8 am, the hammering began in earnest at 8:30, they were at it until 6 pm.......and then they piled back in.......the 8 skinny skinny dudes & the driver........yikes! finally peace and quiet........BUT no, no, no.........shortly after that some hunter started up ........i counted a dozen shots, then quiet, then it began again. at 20 shots I gave up counting........let's just call it what it is....it's the countreeeeeeeeeee!
last night i ate a pear along with a grilled cheese. cut them both into mini bites, took a long time to eat last night. throat feels a little better, this time i'm gonna go with soup. easier to eat. jaw aches....sigh, somebody is shooting again. tell them to knock it off.......it's pitch dark outside......they need to go home now. the hunting land is just beyond where i live.....it sounds closer than it is.
the hypersomnia kept me from hearing a lot of the noise today, so that's a blessing right!?! time to make the soup and some hot tea. just quietly sip some dinner and wrap up in blankies. last night i watched 1492, Conquest for Paradise, directed by Ridley Scott.........I didn't like it. If I should have liked it, I just couldn't.........oh well, it happens, we can't like everything. I will admit that I did fast forward through the violence. i try to be brave with a side order of common sense. don't need certain images in my brain.
maybe in a day or two I will be functioning better and responding to e-mails. i sound like a raspy 'ol froggie. a flannel covered foggy froggie.
gonna go find my long sweater - warm up from the inside out & the outside in.
stay warm, rest easy..........praying for you by name.......glad to be awake finally. it's 8:00 at night........yikes.

So sorry to hear that you are having a rough go of it right now. Glad you are at least sleeping some. I am sitting here in a stupor too. Can\'t sleep though.
Seems like everyway I turn I am getting bad news. Just enough to make the normal everyday pains ramp up that much more.
A dually is part of the terrain here in the south - no doubt about it.
By the way, a grilled cheese with a pear sounds good. I had a TV dinner with some walnuts on the side. Craving popcorn but too weary to go pop it.
Have only been past the driveway once since last Monday afternoon (for an appointment, no less) - have two more tomorrow so I will have to go again.
Maybe 2014 will be better for many of us.

Ruthie so sorry you have the bug. I\'m still dealing with my cold. Coughing & speaking with a frog in my throat. Throat is not sore anymore. I finally washed my hair yesterday. It had been over a week & my head hurts when my hair is dirty. Well, that took all my energy for the day. Praying this doesn\'t last long. You got enough stuff going on. Take care & stay warm my dear friend. Happy New Year sweetie. Not doing anything for New Year\'s Eve. Just gonna watch Hoda & Kathie Lee special & probably watch the ball come down by myself. Frank usually falls asleep by 10:00 ish. :). Praying the New Year is better with more joy than pain. Love ya.
Ruthie, sorry to hear about your swollen glands and nasty virus and painful back - too much going on! I watched the dually video - that\'s a new one for me! Our roofers, and most of the people who do home repair work around here are Polish immigrants - they don\'t usually come in a pickup truck! OK, now I know what a dually is!! I liked the video!! I think my hubby would LOVE to have one of those.
So sorry your days and nights are getting mixed up. SO CONFUSING, NO??? Goodness. I am glad if the sleeping keeps the bad noises from bothering you....you just have to get back to day wakefulness. It\'s not really all that important until you have to be somewhere in the morning and your body is just getting ready for sleep. This happens to me often. That\'s when I take a sleeping pill and knock my sorry butt out at night and try and straighten things out. Doesn\'t always work! BUT, we try. Dagnabbit, we try!!
I hope you start feeling less pain, less flu stuff, and maybe can start the new year with some happy health surprises. I pray it will be so!!

Serce I hope you feel better soon....darn old cold/bug! Good for you in eating some fruit,the pear...I think that helps the body. Didn\'t know what a dually is but do now...WoW!!
