Hi
Hi everyone...it's been a few days. Today is a a day over a week since my facelift/necklift/browlift. I am doing great. Impatient, though...
The procedure itself was not too bad. I am very, very, resistant to sedatives so despite their efforts I was awake the entire time, asking questions, making comments, letting them know when an area was painful so they could inject more numbing agent.
I have not bruised badly at all, just my eyes and neck. I am swollen however and will probably have to wear wraps at least 3 more weeks, hence the impatience. I want to take them off for good and put my makeup on, lol. My scalp is chock full of screws, staples and sutures, suprisingly not that paiful. I think my worst 2 days as far as pain was concerned was day 2 and 3, and it just felt like a combination of a sinus headache and caffiene withdrawal. The Soma he gave me along with Tylenol took the edge off and I did fine. There was one point I was in pain and about to call him and I remembered the 1 to 10 scale of pain, and gave it honest consideration, and decided I was at a six and perfectly capable of riding it out without opiate pain relief.
The most challenging part, for me, has been sleeping in a reclining position, on my back. I prefer a fetal position, lol.
Otherwise there have been no problems. A screw fell out today so I called the office and at first the nurse freaked out and told me to come in to the office, but then talked to the surgeon and came back and told me it was fine, just dring the screw with me for my next appointment.
Just thought I'd fill everyone in. I am positive I will feel better about myself, and that's always a good thing, right???

So proud of you doing this for yourself. I am 70, but you won't believe it but when I was about 50 I took money out of my 401 account and made an appointment with the surgeon and was going to take vacation, but I backed out. Of course, I wish I had gone thru with it. I have acne scars and have always been self conscious but now at 70 who gives a rat's a--!! Love to you my Sweet Florida Friend from your Friend in Georgia
Happy that you are on the mend....I can't wait to see a picture but I always thought you were beautiful and needed no "update".....if it makes you feel better, then it's worth it! (((hugs))) Vicki
I'm happy that YOU are as that is what matters. I'm sure you look smokin' hot! :)
Gentle care as you heal and I was thinking about you and wondering how you were doing so it was great to hear.
Big (((hugs)))

Hi Gina, so glad your procedure went well and that you are healing. I am sure you will look absolutely gorgeous after the healing is complete as you are already a beautiful woman. Good for you to do something for yourself. Loving you and dearest Cassi, Linda
I am happy for you. You are taking care of you. You go girl
Wow - good for you. When I finished surgery and chemo I thought that maybe I should do something nice for myself in that regard - but I chickened out and bought a new car instead! So I still look like a hag but damn, I love those heated seats......
