Gonna try text therapy
Well I downloaded an app today called TalkSpace. Basically you get to text (via the app) your issues to a therapist 24/7 and they get back to you the same day. Sometimes immediately. It's cheaper than going to a live person face-to-face, and I wasn't happy with my choice of therapists who would take Medicare anyways. I've read the reviews of this app online. People either LOVE it or HATE it. There doesn't seem to be an imbetween. We'll see. The initial therapist took some background info on me and assigned another therapist to me who appears to have experience in areas that should meet my needs. I'll meet her in the morning. I know text therapy won't be the same as in person therapy but it's better than nothing.
Easter was difficult for me. Made me miss dad because I always spent my Easter with him and Carolyn. I can't believe its been almost 3 years since he's passed and almost 2 years for mom. I spent the entire day watching The Bible marathon on the History Channel and texting Victor Bible questions. I still think the Bible would have been better if women wrote it
Still having nightmares and wake up in a sweat at least twice a week. I woke myself up out of the last one yelling "This is ridiculous!" When I heard myself I laughed.
My online shopping has me a little nervous cuz I may be heading into a mixed episode, but I've returned stuff. My sleep is like one day in bed 24 hrs, then one day up 24 hrs. I know a bipolar person should sleep every night but I can't seem to get a good sleep schedule. Sometimes I'll just stay in bed for two days cuz the depression is so heavy, then it feels good to stay up a whole day. I've been doing this for 3 years now. I may need to go into outpatient treatment again. We'll see how the text therapy goes for a couple weeks and decide after that.

wow, text therapy. I\'d heard of it but didn\'t actually know how it Works. I certainly hope it works for you :) At least the therapist is Hearing you, reading your words, rather than just sitting there nodding and saying, \'uh-huh.\' And scribbling.
Sorry about your dad - anniversaries of passings are Especially hard on people, and holidays too - you did good to get through it even if you Did watch a Bible marathon :)
Yeah, sleep is Such a big thing for us; I am finally on a schedule (normally, that is - the last couple of weeks were different but, well) - for the past three years I have been trying to do the Very Same things, each night, and my mind and body got Used to it. It was the only way I could fight the \"no-sleep\" that comes with the mood swings, but it\'s really been Better.
I hope you can get on a more regular schedule, MMP -

Anything that helps is a good thing. My wife was a psychotherapist, and she also read tarot cards, sometimes online.
I figured out, after 50 years, that my moods are connected to my sleep patterns. Too much sleep causes depression, and too little can trigger hypomania. I take Seroquel at bed time, and I think its major therapeutic effect is making me drowsy and I get sound sleep. I try to stay on a regular schedule. It\'s been helping.
This year was my first Passover since my wife and mom and best friend died last year. I was unprepared for the week of subliminal distress. I had trouble concentrating, and thought about a medication adjustment.
Two nights ago I smoked some pot and played my guitar - that helped. Playing guitar is a form of meditation for me.
I felt guilty because I should be writing a book, a technical guide about something for web developers. I was able to concentrate on the book the next day, for the first time in weeks and got over \"writers block.\"
