Frozen and no pupils
Both in my meditation practice and in EMDR, imagary plays an important part. I've heard that people tend to recall things in very different ways. Smell. Touch. feeling. For me, it sometimes feels as though i'm dreaming awake. In yesterdays meditation I saw myself sitting in a makeshift rikety, small house. outside it was pitch-black out. it didn't feel like any of this was real. it felt like the house was on a stage - and the ground was covered in black plastic garbage bags. I walked outside because a hurricane of sorts was taking place about 10 feet from the door. From out of the wind storm appeared Belle - my 5th/6th grade self. She was completely frozen, and her eyes had no pupils and were glowing. I've seen this before - glowing eyes. I took her in the house and tried to warm her and tell her it woudl be ok. She did not come out of that hurricane unscathed -but she did make it thru. Unfortunately there were not feelings tied to the event.

Wow - I just looked this up on dreammoods.com - " Dreaming of children with no pupils points to a loss of innocence. Someone in your life is totally not who you thought they were."
Very interesting what you found on dreammoods (I love that site!). And how accurate! It sounds like you may have felt like your childhood was a lot like living in a hurricane. I always had dreams that the Vietnam war was taking place outside my bedroom. It was a recurring dream that didn't go away until about 4 or 5 years ago. Pretty much I viewed my home life as if it was taking place in the Vietnam war.
I am glad you now have Belle in a safe place and that she is sharing so much with you. The feelings will come. Where she is 'frozen' in your vision I am not surprised it came with no feelings attached.
Big hugs for you and Belle.
Thank you LE. I'm sorry that vietnam was taking place in your dreams. I also looked up frozen from dreammoods (i also love that site!) - it said the following: Frozen
To dream that something is frozen represents something that has been suppressed, rejected, or denied. It could represent something this is not fully developed.
Wow, this gave me goosebumps. The feelings that go with this vision may be very heavy so it's probably good that it's coming to you slowly. It's a scary vision, and the dreammoods interpretation is chilling.
((((supportive hugs))))
It gave me goosbumps also. I save a lot of pictures I see on the internet and one of them is a girl with glowing white eyes. She is bent down and looks like she is a silhouette type form knelt down near the water. The name of the art is nocturn. The dreammoods description sounds accurate. The artwork kind of reminds me of that. When I first saw the art I thought of it as alive through darkness. Glowing eyes can also mean radiant and a spiritual awakening or opening.
I think your right DW - it's funny how such a powerful image can have absolutely no effect on me. Yet it came from me. Thanks for your thoughts on this - and your supportive hugs :)
Thanks for your thoughts Doo -I looked up that picture on pinterest - I liked it! thanks for posting about it. Thanks for the alternative meaning to the glowing eyes. :)
So glad Belle made it through that hurricane. She is strong.
I think there is something to pupils/eyes and healing. When I was in the emergency stage of healing, paintings would pour out of me and I had no idea where they were coming from until afterwards. One of them was a painting of pupils. They were wide open and crying.
I'm glad you took Belle inside and told her it would be okay.
Thank you journalReader.
