fleeting memories

Just remembering when I was about 7 or 8 and stayed with a babysitter, who had 2 girls. One was a few months older than me, and another who was 2 or 3 years younger.  The one who was my age was named Tonya.  She was slightly stronger than I was, which made me work harder and improve my strength as we were very competitive, though not all the time.  
 
Memory that has taken over my mind this morning.  Making up beds with her and her sister.  I did not get all the wrinkles out of the sheet and she was fussing about it, which I did not see a reason to worry about it so I shrugged it off or said it doesn't matter or something like that, and she slapped me across the face, I was shocked but almost instantly slapped her back, she slapped me again harder than the first time.  I slapped her back as hard as I could, then she slapped me a 3rd time and the little sister had run to tell her momm and her momma came back in and spanked her daugther.
