Finished week 1

Just come in from the end of the first week of the c25k challenge that I've under taken. As well as my other issues I've had a problem with my lower back for the last 3 years which has stopped me exercising so much. Or should I say "I thought it had". I have tried doing this c25k thing a couple of months back but had to abandon it due to the pain it was causing in my lower spine. I'm pretty sure the turnaround in my attitude occurred around about the time of my second visit to my first ever series of physio appointments. I think it was the result of a few things coming together, but primarily the second recent visit to the physio therapist truly gave me hope. What a hero that man is of mine. He convinced me i would be back to full fitness and to believe in him 100% and he would turn things around for me. Well i think it might be working. Long way to go yet and my back complains regularly after undergoing any sort of physical exertion, but I am starting to believe I can get my life (sober) back and enjoy the things again that I used to love doing. As well as some new adventures on the way of course. Para-gliding being one that comes to mind. It's been a really good climax to the week for me. I am hopeful for the future, but still got plenty of work to put in yet. I would just like to give a big hug and shout out to the friends I've made on here so far. You have really helped me. Thanks and I'll be hanging around here for a while to come yet. Hope you all have a great day today :)

Outstanding! Keep it up! I look forward to getting on my bike more, but dreading that TX heat and humidity. At least fall is coming...

I don\'t do heat Tex give me the gloom of England any day of the week lol. Go for it with the bike. Build up slow and steady. Don\'t try doing too much too soon. :)

Well, I just recently swapped out the stock racing saddle for something more suitable for my ample rear end... :-( Should make it more enjoyable for getting started. Before I wasn\'t sure who was getting tortured more - me or the bike...
