Feeling stupid
Every little task that use to come so naturally to me now seems like a mountain I must climb. I had to go to the bank and the post office yesterday and it's like I'd never done it before. So I ask what others must think are really stupid questions. I asked the clerk at the post office to make sure I filled out everything on the mailing label because it feels as though my brain is scattered and so unfocused. I have to force myself to concentrate on the smallest things. Then other times I get so involved in a task that I forget everything thats going on around me. I find myself relying a lot on other people to help me and it's hard because I've always been so darn independent and strong. I'm learning that I need other people, that I want to be around other people, and that I don't need to be strong for people to love me, that I can accept help from others and it doesn't make me weak or needy. Here come those tears again. Seems they have a mind of their own and there is no controlling them. I can feel it coming like a spring shower, it takes over my mind and body, the grief, the sadness, the tears. Somedays it's easier than others, but there are no real "good" days right now, just days that I manage to get through and days that I don't.
