F'ing Doctor
So I tore some tendons and generally screwed up my shoulder on my last deployment. I have been working with this doctor to do surgery on it to repair the damage. I brought the doctor the opinion of two orthopedic surgeons that I needed surgery, along with MRIs, X-rays, and a PET Scan. He didn't all of that and wanted me to start over and get new XRays, MRI, and my third round of physical therapy on the shoulder. Then he had me get written opinions from all my doctors that I can get shoulder surgery. Then he finally says yes to repairing the shoulder, and today I have the scheduling meeting. I drove 45 min waiting in their lobby and then the nurse just gives me a card with my date on it. REALLY... I drove all that way just to get a card that you could have told me over the phone. This stupid doctor has had several bogus meetings where nothing of consequence happened. I think he does that just to bill an office visit to the insurance. I'm not a patient but an office visit generating machine. I'm so invested I can't leave and start over again

I can sympathize. It sucks.......all that rigamarole for nothing. It is like the medical profession is just a joke these days.
Well at least you have a date now......and you did get out of the house and had a change of scenery.........small silver lining I am sure.
Yuck. That sucks. Hang in there. I sprained my shoulder two years ago. Took forever to heal
Wow Thor. I’m sorry, your doctor is so disrespectful. There is no reason you should have had to go there. I would start asking what the appointment is going to cover in advance. My surgeon did a televideo.. I’m still waiting for a date for knee replacement.
Thanks. Glad they didn’t ask about a copay for the visit. I would have blown up and probably end in the psych ward

Sometimes I question dr's simply because they '''have not had the experience, specifically to them''' yet they freely dish out medicine. (bp)
If you are late for a dr apt, you get charged...and rescheduled

Totally know how you feel; xray, mri,. 12 therapy sessions a shot and activity modification for years.. Only to have the surgeons assistant say she recommends more therapy... I gave up. I will walk with a limp till i qualify for a replacement i guess..
Ugh, certain doctors are just awful. Hope your surgery goes well. My bf had rotator cuff surgery last year. Big improvement and lots of home therapy machines but his was all through workers comp - so definitely lots of Administrative bs to get through.
Keep a timeline of the entire process. After you get the surgery and everything taken care, then report the doctor to the medical board.
