Eternal Security,Part 2

It's later the same day. I wanted to fling Stanley's book across the room, but when I returned from a brief outing,I picked up the book again and this time God did speak to me through it. It was something personal. Ever since I was born again, I've been beating myself up and thinking that I could be a better Christian if I tried. But again, that's totally dismissing the dispensation of grace. We are born again because we've appropriated the sacrifice that Jesus Christ, the only Son of God,made for us by being brutally tortured and killed, only to come back to life three days later,by the power of the Holy Spirit (just as a virgin was impregnated by the power of His Spirit). You don't know what a relief it is to know I am secure in the Lord. That doesn't mean I'll make that an excuse to sin with impunity. The sins I've committed have mostly dealt with two things: anger and lust. I battle the former daily, but praise God the latter is no longer a problem for me (only because of the grace of my Father God and His "gifting" me with the ability to remain celibate). (1 Corinthians 7:7)
God showed me that I'm not one of the carnal believers Stanley wrote about. What a relief.
