Dreading Work

I'm dreading going to work. I was off yesterday.  Tuesday one of my coworkers had a psychotic meltdown at work. Like screaming cussing pulling her hair out. It was aimed at me because she tried to get me in trouble and boss told her not to worry about it. I didn't do anything to get in trouble for until she attacked me and I went off on her verbally to shut up and leave me alone etc, boss agreed with me, so she had a meltdown, left, and says she quit. If she really quit and I don't get talked to anymore about what was said, I will be happy.

But I am nervous that today she will be back saying she didn't quit and I will still have to deal with her verbally abusing me and trying to get me in trouble for things I didn't do. I don't think a person should be allowed to come back to work after getting called out for doing that stuff, not to mention cussing us out and pulling her hair and throwing a fit like a child. It was scary.

I really hope this doesn't get turned around on me. Boss said I wasn't in trouble but still.

It gets worse. This bitch has horrible attendance and no days left yet they let her off today and I'm stuck working in an area I never thought i would because like 6 ppl were off today. I'm depending on my end of year bonuses so I'm not quitting but next year I might.

Some light was shed on situation at work. One of my coworkers who also wants to see the psycho go told me that she is trying to get fired so she can draw unemployment, and that the board of directors doesn't want to pay it. I told her that doesn't make sense because the bitch quit, that was their chance to get rid of her and not pay unemployment.
Then my fiance made a really good point that I didnt think of. The psycho is on alot of meds and our immediate supervisor in my fiance's opinion looks like a pill head. That's an angle I never thought of but makes sense. Psycho gets kept around to supply drugs to the pill heads I work with. I've heard conversations that support this...suddenly this is make more sense.

I appreciate that but I would say to your employer that you are very shaken by event and what steps they are putting in place to ensure it won't happen again? You can't go far wrong with a statement like that. You could also ask for health and safety policy. That's enough there to spook them without putting your job on the line

All those policies are posted in our breakroom. The steps to ensure it won't happen again is them separating us and threatening to fire me lol.
I made a new friend yesterday who attempted to recruit me at a credit union. Wouldn't be until next year but I'm thinking go with that plan. I would have insurance and much better pay.

More bs with this chick keeps happening. They won't run me out of here before my end of year bonuses because I'm counting on them, but this is getting more ridiculous.

How is it getting more ridiculous? I'd enquire about how much a consultation costs. If the situation spirals it could cost you more in the long run. Not getting a consultation
