dragging

I redid my master bath over a year ago and it’s been without tile since. Just haven’t had the physical capacity to take on tile shopping. So I happen to pass a tile store last week and stop in for a quick look. 2 hours later I have selected the tile I need ... and am told the store is closed so they can’t cash me out . What the *!@#.
The next day, as luck would have it, I had a client meeting that took me past another branch of the same tile store. So I stop in to get the tiles I had picked out .. this branch did not have them..aargh. Two hours later I have made my new selection .. that is me taking a seat in the middle of the store with an assistant bringing individual choices for my review ..that Tasha was a good girl, I could not have done it without her. Anyhoo it takes another 2 hours for me to cash out and take possession of the new tiles.
No surprise this was way too much for my body.   That was Thursday, today Tuesday, is the first time I’ve left home since..yes I missed work. It’s going to be a while before I have the strength to actually have someone install the new tile.. I will get there eventually
This is FRUSTRATING!  Tile shopping should have taken an hour at best but it was such a task, within 15mins I was exhausted and had to ask for a chair to be provided.  Then I'm schlepping the chair all around the store as I move from display to display.  Multiple sales persons pass me by, apparently I dont seem serious, or maybe its because they cant be bothered to lift the samples for me.  Eventually I start griping until I get a willing sales assistant who helps me to spread out my tiles and pick complements for the floor the wall and decorative borders.
By the end of the process I am visibly wiped out, the salesperson actually helps me to cash out, bringing my goods to the register and allowing me to stay seated until its time to swipe my card.  Then the persons filling the order bring out the wrong tile and its a 2 hr process of sorting, checking and rechecking until I finally drive out with the correct tiles.
I really hate that its so HARD to do simple things.  So many things in my home are broken, so many things need to be completed, while I try to just get from day to day without crashing.
Of course I crashed, 4 days flat on my back.  Today I'm hobbling along trying to stay awake..sigh
I’m learning to be patient. I’m reminded of the virtue of perseverance. I continue to be grateful for each opportunity I have to move forward, even if its in baby steps..one day at a time.
