Decision made. Going in.
I did an intake assessment via the phone with the intake coordinator today. I also spoke to my dietitian who met with the Director of the program yesterday. Jill just confirmed my decision to go here. Jill said she is very comfortable with me going there and really likes it because it is a gradual and very individualized program. She thinks it is the perfect program for me to succeed in. So I am happy with that.
I will be going IP. I was hoping pretty quickly but they have a wait list, which is interesting. They have 8 IP beds (2 per room), and they are not full. The reason why I have to go on a wait list is because the program has a limit of 15 patients. That's combining the day and IP program. She said that I will be able to get in either late next week or at the latest, early the following week. She will update me next week.
As soon as a spot comes up I'm going in. But....if they say it won't be til after next weekend- then I am going to go to GA to move my sister in.
So where? Reflections at Dominion Hospital. http://reflectionsed.com/
I don't know the mailing address. and I don't know how long I'll be there. They said it could be 2 weeks to months. EEEEEK. but they say they try to get people to gain 1-2 pounds a week. So that would make it about 5 weeks. I'm hoping a lot less than that!!!!
When I sent mail to a friend there I just used the hospital address and then wrote reflections and their name. idk.
Ann, I think you asked for my email. steffanie.mckay@gmail.com
I do have internet and phone access. I know the phone number, but to call you need to have my patient access number which i wont get til i get there.
I'm ready and pretty pissed I have to wait :(

I have just caught up on your journals... I\'m proud of you Steff, you are being so brave and so sensible. I hope you receive the treatment and support that you deserve, this punishment you are being haunted by has to stop. You have a future waiting for you. I hope we can keep in touch. Love you.
The waiting list isn\'t too long. Just make sure you don\'t loose any more weight. It\'s awesome that they won\'t make you gain more than 1-2 pounds a week, that way you won\'t be overwhelmed. They made me gain 3-5 and it was crazy to handle that. But if they would have done it at a slower pace I would probably still be there, lol. I\'m glad you have internet access and maybe you find out about the address when you get there. I\'m really proud you are still so motivated. You will do awesome.
i am so proud of you for making that call, and hopefully youll get in soon, it doesnt seem to be a long wait, but i understan you being anxious, since you have now made the decison to go. please dont lose any more and i think with the small setting you will do great. thanks for the email. you are so awesome.
