Day 2 of working up to day 1
I'm 50% convince that I'm doing the right thing and 50% sure I'm justifying. I read two more chapters of The Hunger Fix yesterday and it inspired a total rearraning of my apartment. (Side note, my back is NOT happy with that decision!!) I honestly thought I'd be all set to be "good" today. But it's hard to start when you don't have all the information and I'm only 4 chapters in. It's a well formulated program for Food Addiction, and I don't think half-assing it is a good idea. And I certainly don't have the right food in the house or the money to make the right menu. Mostly because I've massively over spent my budget for the last two years to feed the food addiction. Is that irony? It feels like irony.
So, I've decided to give myself the week. I can finish the book and do some of the prelimary work. It's Monday evening now, and my brother is coming to visit this weekend. He can help me finish up cleaning out by bringing the extra furniture to the dumpster. I'll have time to take the extra books to either Books-A-Million for cash or the library for...feeling generous? I'll finish the book by Saturday and really get started on Sunday. And I did make progress today. I read the Hunger Fix instead of escaping into fiction. I ate my planned lunch instead of bingeing.
All in all, I'm calling today a win!
