cuppa tea and a short chat...

Time to prepare for re-entry.  Tools put away, burning up hot.........comforter in the dryer, sheets already on.  Hello......my friend hello!
The men clearing the jungle are back.  A break in the rain and they are right back at work.  We had tornado warnings, flash flood and severe thunderstorms watches going on over the week-end.  The sky is a cool gray.......if you focus on the lush thick leafy green instead, you can find the beauty of this day.
On Saturday I heard a thump........looked over to see what might have fallen near the kitchen sink/window area.......not a thing.  Thump # two.......got up - a very surprised young squirrel stared at me as I stared & blinked at him!  He was on the screen darting his head.........I had Andrea Bocelli singing Verdi loud & proud...........love the soaring tenor notes........ahhhhhh!  I think this young squirrel came closer to listen to the concert.  At least this music lover likes to think so.........Annie got up on the counter and was going kinda crazy...........she wanted to bop the little dude's bushy self!
He hung out on the screen for about five minutes before he came down and scooted across the patio.  The dish repairman should be here anytime between now & whenever they arrive.  Don't you love the way this works now?  In the old days you had to give up your whole day.  Now in the interest of better customer satisfaction, once dish sets up your appt., they call the night before to confirm, the next morning they call again, then again as it gets closer they update the time segment to zero in their arrival in 15 minute increments & they also notify you via e-mail.  WOW.  Competition is directing some companies to rethink their old customer service ways.
I had a very nice conversation today with a guy.  I was trying to see if I could reconfigure my mortage loan in any way to lower the % rate.  As we chatted I explained the circumstance which led to a mention about disability/chronic illness.  He told me that he has health issues, chronic pain & struggles to find his way through........so I shared www.dailystrength.org with him.  I sure wish I had known about this site sooner than later.........hope he can meet friends as nice and caring as the ones I've met......and that he can find info, support. It's really lonely to carry illness and have no place to vent and/or talk about it with others who understand.
Bocelli is singing Romanza today.  I am so glad I went into that thrift store near Sam's work.  99 cents for great CD's is such a meal deal.........yesterday I listened to the soundtrack from The Lion King.  Don't we all need a dose of Hakuna Matata every now and again.  And songs like The Circle of Life, Can You Feel the Love Tonight?"
The audience is going wild over Bocelli.........................sweet!  Such power........infuse your veins & arteries with music, it goes right to the heart!
Oh.........the final yabba dabba share, I knocked a small earring container off the dresser today.  Hoped I had found all the earrings......then when I vacuumed I heard the unmistakeable sound of metal.  Sooooo fellow earthlings, I had to dump the dirt into a giant bowl and sift through the dirt bit by bit......found the tiny little aquamarine stud.........but the other one is still at large.  Sam gave them to me, gotta find it.  g......o........t..........t.......a.  dirt sifting is a very humbling job.
Be good to you............that's an order.  Treat yourself to a smile........I find being at home alone I don't smile as much and then when I go out.......my smiler feels rusty.......so keep working that awesome smile of yours.......if you're too tired, crashy today, save it for later.............gentle hugs if you're aching and a high five if the day is treating you kind.
This small Sparrow is doing alright. I put brown eyed susans in one vase and miniature scarlet roses in another, my nest feels pretty, loved on..............thank you Lord for encouraging us to bloom where we are planted.  To sweep out the old hurts and welcome new memories...........thank you Lord for so many precious gifts.

I love Bocelli! He\'s awesome!

I\'m sure that squirrel did come to get a better audience with the famous singer!! We have a pet squirrel outside. Hubby named him Darby. He\'s been around for years, Bobby feeds him and leave nuts laying on the ground, As nice as that is, he also feeds stray cats. SO what we actually have is a backyard full of raccoons, possums, cats, birds, squirrels and a pond full of fish.

I\'d like some quiet around here. I\'d like to come sit with you and play with Annie and Rio and discuss out little worlds of blessings!

Hi Ruthie. A cup of tea sounds good. Sit & chat awhile. Good thing Mr Squirrel was on the outside & didn\'t get inside. I could just picture Rio & Annie then...oh & you behind them with the broom. Lol
Kennedy\'s party was nice, but of course I over did it Sat. Came home crying the stinging was so bad. Felt like I was on fire on the inside. Still feeling bad especially evenings. Seems the little bit I do, I suffer a few hours later. My arms & legs are so weak. My balance is line walking a tight rope. I fell down in my closet, trying to reach something. Doesn\'t help that my closet is a mess. I have too much stuff. I hate parting with things.
We had allot of rain last night & this afternoon. I saw you were getting some nasty weather your way on the weekend. Did you need a canoe??? Lol. Did the guys finish with the yard next door? Xo
