Commiting
I am committing to going ahead with the hysterectomy. Made a list of items which need to be taken care of before the surgery, 38 items so far..OMG! But this is the time for commitment not doubt. Writing that list was step one, now I just have to knock them off systematically.
Item 1 is easy, will do pre-op blood tests today and ECG tomorrow. Some items are not so easy and I really haven't figured them all out yet, but I'm scheduling the surgery and from now on I am simply trusting that it will all come together and I will be OK.
So .. been smelling this truly noxious odor for a few days now in my bedroom. Checked my yard nothing. One night it was so bad I got up in the middle of the night and took my bed apart. I have indoor/outdoor cats and was convinced one had deposited a trophy under my pillow somewhere. Blessedly my bed was clean. Whew! Another night I woke up convinced that I was rotting from the inside. I know I have some pre-cancerous cells and constant inflammation, but I didn't know I was actually rotting! But what else could account for the very real fumes surrounding my bed?
Then my gardener pointed out that my sewer is overflowing. Whew! I'm not rotting from the inside out! Thank goodness. Add item 39 to my list, get cesspool cleaners. So this morning I go to check out the sewer and I see it, the rotting canine corpse not 10 ft from my bedroom window. AAAAGH! I have no idea how to handle disposal, so I guess I will be moving again until I get this figured out. Now if only the electrician had not trashed my last room...
Speaking of the gardener. I have several gardens around my property but there is one in particular which I love because it has survived construction and drought and neighbors goats and is the only mature garden on my property. I woke up 6am Sunday to the smell of my garden on fire. Boy was I mad! The gardener was trying to get rid of hornets and set fire to the whole thing! Again, outside my bedroom window. It took hours for my eyes to stop stinging. I want my old room back!
On a positive note, I finally got my kitchen tiled. I got an allowance from work (very unexpected as last year this allowance was paid in November) and decided it would be spent in a very specific manner. I got some electrical rough-ins done and tiled my kitchen. yeah! Went over budget by 80% Ouch! But its one more step in the right direction, kitchen has been untiled for 2 years now and it has bugged me every time I step in, now I will be more comfortable. My son went in after it was tiled and said "mom, I can see the dream house you have been working to create .. these floors look so good, I see your vision!" YEAH!
Have a good week DS friends, remembering to keep trust, hope and joy as daily companions.
