Calm App

i got this app on my phone and it's called Calm. Its free and I use it for my depression, anxiety, and to cope.

You can mediate, practice deep breathing, and have a sleep counter thing too! You can even pick different sounds in nature to listen to as well. My favorite noises/sounds to listen to are Foggy Streams and Woodland Lake.

I am very depressed and want to harm and I can't ever get happy anymore. I try to cope but I can't anymore. I'm lost guys.

Licenced therapist here...cutting is like an addiction and one way to stop is find a replacement..so yes..smoking is less destructive than cutting but other ways even better. Ofcourse you also need to be talking with a therapist about the underlying cause of your extreme emitional pain. Over 30 yrs of being therapist..98% of my clients who cut have history of sexual abuse of some sort..sometimes they dont remember it right away but it eventually comes out. You deserve to treat yourself with love, not harm.

There are many healthy, safe ways to learn how to "not cut" other than killing yourself with lung cancer....Therapy, DBT, Journaling, Zentangling, Colorblock Puzzles, Teen Group Therapy, Halfofus.org....

@afreshstart, have you asked your Pdoc specifically about programs like DBT or other safe coping skills that you can learn to help you stop the cutting? They have many alternatives that they can give you to do instead.
