Boston
Boston - Amazing. John and I pulled out on Thursday at 5 am and arrived to our hotel at 10:30 pm. Yes it is a long ride from North Carolina but worth every mile. I want to start out with thanking my terrific hubby for tagging along with me. John truly knows what FMO means to me. He also knows that each one of you know what it is like to lose child when no one at home does. Again thank you John!!!! We started our Boston weekend with a trolley tour of Boston. Freedom Trail, Quincy Market and a Harbor Cruise on Friday. Friday night was a meet and greet with FMO. Had a great time meeting new moms and catching up with ones I have grown to love over the years. Saturday morning FMO left early to go meet Joan Anderson. This woman is one tough cookie. She is wonderful and made everyone feel welcome. Rain started as we began to board the boat for the island. Rain and wind while on the island but I still felt at peace. Once we left the island we all went to the Chatham Labyrinth. The time there was so emotional as we gathered hands and followed the path. Tears fell as we made our way. So powerful to be with a group of women who truly knows how I feel. Something came over me during this walk that I cannot describe. I love the memorial for our children. Something that will be in the garden forever. Our children's names on shells laying on rocks we picked up on the island. Saturday night for dinner John and I ate with MJ and her hubby Michael. It was great spending time with a couple who knows. We had a beautiful firework show over the harbor as we ate. Our waiter brought our tickets. Mine and John's had the following written on it. "THANK YOU JOSH". MJ's didn't. I took this as a sign from my Josh. I had one more sign has Joan Anderson was speaking she held up the laughing Buda. Josh loved the Buda and has them all over his room. This trip was worth the 15 hours there and 14 back. I hated to leave my special women. You get home and everyone ask how was your trip. I say great, but they just don't get it. They just don't understand. I hope they never have to. They just look at me like I have lost my mind. I did almost seven years ago. I am still trying to get it back and with the help of my FMO sisters maybe I will. Love you all dear Friends.

It was amazing, wasn\'t it dear Rhonda... Everything you describe I can feel your heart and to see you on Friday was just the BEST!!! Never enough time yet I\'ll take what I can get and also to see John again.
I will never forget seeing the receipt with Josh\'s name on it and what a way for your son to say hello. Gotta love those incredible kids of ours.
Now, you start working on John about flying and hope to see you in Tahoe! God willing and the creek don\'t rise is what we\'ve all been saying. :)
Love you sweetest of friends and this is a retreat that will be carried within each of us forever.
Tightest of hugs and so grateful for the real deal this past weekend. Guess it will have to hold us over, huh?!

Ronda, Your description of our time together is just so beautiful and right on target. While it was difficult in some ways, I feel truly centered from all the special actions of our tribute to our children. Sending you vibes of peace, Kathy
It was a fabulous retreat. I agree that there is nothing like our special group...the understanding and acceptance is inspiring. I want to thank John too for being so supportive. My Brian doesn\'t attend the retreats often, but always wants me to go...great men! Love you my friend...
Rhonda, you and John are both amazing people and are an inspiration in the ways you support each other. I love your Josh \"thanking\" you. He loves you and is clearly close by. Love, Linda
