Boston
Boston - Amazing. John and I pulled out on Thursday at 5 am and arrived to our hotel at 10:30 pm. Yes it is a long ride from North Carolina but worth every mile. I want to start out with thanking my terrific hubby for tagging along with me. John truly knows what FMO means to me. He also knows that each one of you know what it is like to lose child when no one at home does. Again thank you John!!!! We started our Boston weekend with a trolley tour of Boston. Freedom Trail, Quincy Market and a Harbor Cruise on Friday. Friday night was a meet and greet with FMO. Had a great time meeting new moms and catching up with ones I have grown to love over the years. Saturday morning FMO left early to go meet Joan Anderson. This woman is one tough cookie. She is wonderful and made everyone feel welcome. Rain started as we began to board the boat for the island. Rain and wind while on the island but I still felt at peace. Once we left the island we all went to the Chatham Labyrinth. The time there was so emotional as we gathered hands and followed the path. Tears fell as we made our way. So powerful to be with a group of women who truly knows how I feel. Something came over me during this walk that I cannot describe. I love the memorial for our children. Something that will be in the garden forever. Our children's names on shells laying on rocks we picked up on the island. Saturday night for dinner John and I ate with MJ and her hubby Michael. It was great spending time with a couple who knows. We had a beautiful firework show over the harbor as we ate. Our waiter brought our tickets. Mine and John's had the following written on it. "THANK YOU JOSH". MJ's didn't. I took this as a sign from my Josh. I had one more sign has Joan Anderson was speaking she held up the laughing Buda. Josh loved the Buda and has them all over his room. This trip was worth the 15 hours there and 14 back. I hated to leave my special women. You get home and everyone ask how was your trip. I say great, but they just don't get it. They just don't understand. I hope they never have to. They just look at me like I have lost my mind. I did almost seven years ago. I am still trying to get it back and with the help of my FMO sisters maybe I will. Love you all dear Friends.

You are so right,, I get asked ..how was your trip... it was great...but words cannot tell anyone,,,,as i walked the labyrinth,,,my tears fell,,, I thought I was the only one crying until I looked up and saw Teri with tears,,I know we all cried those cleansing tears... it was great to see you and John,,,love ya!
God Bless John for being so understanding and companioning you! It was great to see you both. There are no words to describe to anyone what the retreats are like. I had a very hard time leaving this year myself. Love you, Sue xo
Rhonda, the word \"powerful\" is what I think about this whole past weekend. I have shared some pictures on Facebook for my family and friends to see, but I feel as if I have wasted my time. They have no clue of the true meaning of powerful! Like you said, they have no idea when you say the trip was great. They think any vacation is great and have no idea what GREAT is LOL. BTW, we (me, Doris, Lynn and Marlene) were having dinner at the same place and saw the fireworks....I asked our waiter what his name was and it was Michael...
Peace.
The Labyrinth sounds so wonderful. I wish I could have been there. I am glad there was cleansing tears. Love to all, Peggy
I am bummed that I couldn\'t join you for the labyrinth or the beach. I feel I missed out on a lot. But I am thankful to have done some part of the weekend, it was amazing and I hope to do it again someday. Love each and every one of you, Connie
Loved talking to you. You are so right about others not getting it and I truly, also, hope they never have to. Everyone at work was asking how Boston was - fantastic of course but can\'t truly describe to other what it means to spend time with everyone - women who do get it. Women of my heart. Glad you made it home. I had heard about your waiter Josh - how very special. Our kids did keep us on our toes with all their signs and winks. Hugs, Ann
I\'m glad that the retreat was helpful and your hubby sounds like a keeper! Maybe the rain was Nature\'s way of cleansing, too...sort of \"fitting\" in a way- rain/tears/upheaval/later calm...You\'re quite a trooper to travel such a distance and I\'m glad you had a safe journey! Love, Donna
Was so glad to see you and John again, even though we didn\'t get to spend a long time together. Glad you had a safe trip home. Love you bunches! Love your new hairdo!!!!
I love you and josh, and John too! See you in Lake Tahoe beautiful for more hugs!
It was one amazing weekend! Sorry I didn\'t get to share my hubby - but he is a little shy when it comes to groups of women! See you in Tahoe!
Yep, everyone here is asking \"how was your trip\".....but how can we possibly explain it??? It\'s like trying to explain what it\'s like to lose a child to some who never has.
It was SO great to see you and John again and I am so thankful for the hugs and smiles and even the tears we shed in Boston. YOU are amazing and I love you more than words can say.
PEACE JOSH....and Thank You!
Jim asked me if there were any hubby\'s there and I told him yes, so he was a bit bummed he stayed home...
I\'ve been asked also how the weekend was and there are no words and ad we\'ve all noted, no one gets it anyway...
Hugs to you and dear Josh ( loved that he made his presence known)
MaryLou

Rhonda, you and John are such a beautiful couple. It was so nice to see you again! Yes, the labyrinth was so very emotional and spiritual and powerful! What great signs from Josh too! Hope to see you in Tahoe! Love and tight hugs, Diane
Rhonda you have described your journal about Boston as \"An Inspiring Story\". It truly was inspiring! I want to thank you for sharing your story of Josh with me on the bus ride to the Cape. I could feel your heart as you spoke. I want you to know I feel blessed to have been trusted with your story & feelings. I will keep them locked in my heart from now on.
