Back to my core

I haven't had much luck getting in contact with my new EMDR therapist.  We only meet once every two weeks and usually either i'm out of town or she is out of town or something usually comes up.  i've been without EMDR for too long.  I feel like I've only just blinked, and a few months have passed.   I have not really joined my "daily strength" circle, I have not at all written, not even personal (outside of daily strength) dairy entries.  My journal entries ended last February. Today was the first time I've written in months.  During that time i've been "away", I spent one week in Chennai India.  IT WAS AMAZING! It felt so good to be somewhere completely different than what I was use to.  This week i'm in Naples florida. The weather is perfect, and naples is perfect, but I have lots of family here and the family can be toxic - in complete contrast to the polished and beautiful place that is naples florida.

I meditate and I can't seem to get in contact with my scared self anymore.  It's like she's hidden herself from me and I don't know how or why or how to get back in touch with her.  I guess it's back to the basics. just keep on trying - meditation - reading - writing.

It sounds like you took a break, for whatever reason, and maybe that's just what you needed to do. I'm happy to see you back, though!

Chennai is where much of my husband's family lives. I'm glad you had a good time there! We are going in May for a wedding.

Welcome back!!! I've missed having you here.

It sounds like you have been extremely busy. So happy you enjoyed India. Will pray your visit in Naples goes much better than you imagine it will.

Your inner children may be hiding. Perhaps allowing you and them to have a little break. It's very possible that when you all meet again you will make great progress in your healing.

Breaks are so underrated. Sometimes they can help a person skyrocket in their practice, whatever that practice is. Sorry you have to be around family. Support is key when dealing with that heavy emotional junk.
