Another good week
As I navigate my 6 flights of stairs, hanging on to the rails, pausing at each landing to rest, I reflect on the week just passed, and give thanks for another good one. It was a really busy week with 3 full days of training at the end. Throughout I was alert and held up remarkably well.
Also, electricians were at home doing some work in my kitchen, so of course the house is once again in shambles. That also meant I was up and down the stairs before work each day checking their work and sorting out issues. As usual we ran into obstacles because those who went before did not do their jobs well. As usual it cost more than budgeted. I've been in a place where I am beginning to doubt I will ever finish this house project. Which is such a shame because I am so close to finishing.
I keep thinking that if I were healthy this house could be done is 3 months, because its mostly DIY projects which need to come together to make this a done deal. Alas, I am not healthy so the three months of work may take three years. Sigh. Taking ittty bitty baby steps.
Today I'm really tired, but I call it a good tired. I am not crashing. I'm just , simply tired. I am grateful.
PS : I could use some prayers re the surgery stuff. For some reason I am simply blocked..stopped dead in my tracks uncertain whether to move left or right. Neither option feels right. I have an apt with my gp tomorrow, hopefully that will help.
Wishing you all a good week my DS friends.

You\'re doing an amazing job max.It will all come together for you . Don\'t worry if you have to stretch the house reno time a bit.Just look at all the things you have already achieved with it, that will make you feel better in yourself.Sure hope that lift gets going again soon, just thinking about all those stairs is exhausting. Most importantly max, above everything else, is looking after your body, hope you make a definite and positive decision when you see your doc . Don\'t be afraid my friend. Love to you, from way down under.xo
