A bit of a problem.
I recently made a post talking about some weird side effects I'm having with my new anti psychotic that I've been on two years now, and one is starting to create a problem.
First off, I really actually like my new med, it's doing great things for me and I don't want to go off it. The one side effect I love is the weight loss. I lost most of the weight I gained from my last med. Although, I do have increased appetite due to this med being increased recently, so now I'm starting to gain a bit back, which is upsetting. My doc's have never heard of increased respiratory rate (which is a pain when I have to explain while constantly being asked if I have shortness of breath during covid questioning) or that my pupils are so tiny you can barely see them, which is weird because it has a similar med in it that eye Dr's use to dilate the eyes. The really weird one is, I start to dream before I fall asleep, and then my dream continues when I wake up. One that thankfully went away was uncontrollable sexual urges or hyper sexuality. But the one that's starting to give me problems is something similar to uncontrollable gambling. I don't gamble, but I can't stop spending money. I plan on talking to my therapist about it in our next appointment and might have say something to my family. I've spent around a $1,000 on stuff for my music composing, between virtual instruments and a bunch of online courses. Also a variety of other things that are really adding up. I don't get a whole lot of money from disability, so I'm starting to rack up a bunch if debt. I keep having unforseen expenses like car repairs, so I don't see my credit card bill going down anytime soon. Hopefully I can get some guidance from my therapist. Hope everyone is doing well!

All this sounds familiar. You said you have Bipolar right? These symptoms are from bipolar. I start to get like that as well when my medication stops working. If you have been on them a long time they can stop working. Then It's time to change them or do an increase. Message me in insight what you are taking. I have been on so many I can relate to how you are feeling. Talk with you doctor and let them know, they should know what to do next.
