odd reaction to yesterdays problems
i wrote a long essay on the speed of light ..... felt compelled to do this took till 4.30am
The Michelson-Morley Experiment is conceptually flawed,and failed to find the Ether(Ether= said to be invisable component the universe floats in) but led to physical explanation of Einstein's E=mc2 ...A spinning ball will weigh more than a ball that is not spinning. Its increase of mass is exactly the equivalent of the mass of energy of rotation, which is itself the sum of the kinetic energies of all the moving parts of the ball. For example, the Earth itself is more massive due to its daily rotation, than it would be with no rotation. This rotational energy (2.14 x 1029 J) represents 2.38 billion metric tons of added mass
A spring's mass increases whenever it is put into compression or tension. Its added mass arises from the added potential energy stored within it, which is bound in the stretched chemical (electron) bonds linking the bonds linking the atoms within the spring.
The equation E = mc2 indicates that energy always exhibits mass in whatever form the energy takes.....Modern theory holds that neither mass nor energy may be destroyed...eg light is basicaly particles so even a light beam light has mass.....wrong ...if it had mass it cant travel at the speed of light,at the speed of light mass becomes infinite..ok given that how can light be bent by gravity ?

THE IDEA OF WHAT IS A STRIGHT LINE, IS WRONG..

and to say light speed a constant? ,,,
what in nature is "a constant" if light can be bent on its trip across huge amounts of space to the earth it would have to take a longer route...so the time taken will also be longer/time and distance are linked. so the fact light can be bent proves that light speed isnt constant ...But if the route it takes is measured relative ..it will still be constant to someone traking it...
so whats needed is theory relativity as an over view...so back to red shift ...red shift like the Doppler Effect is the effect of compressed or stretched light waves. if the object emitting light is moving away the recived light apears in the red spectum but if moving towards you it is compress...ed and in the blue spectum...blue shift.l
ight speed = 186000 miles a second or 700 million miles an hour.on a universal scale thats still slow...
But if if a star is moving towards us at like the Andromeda Galaxy we get blue shift so is that 186000 miles a second + closing speed ? eg a car at 60 mph with its head lights on coming at you...light speed plus 60mph?...
erm no it seems...the way it is look at is this ....boat on the sea...set waves passing you ..
you move in to the waves and The waves seem to be closer together wavelength will seem to be shorter..but they are passing at the same constant
...but ..that is a v...iew point from a moving boat !the earth is more or less static ...so i say light speed will have to be compressed in to a higher wave....red shift again or even higher
..this is why the sky is not seen as a blinding light from all the stars out there ..a lot of it is even in the micro wave band ...=back ground noise of space
...SO ...i think the speed of light isnt the fastest thing in the universe !
