You can talk to people about it.
Fear of death is incredibly common. You are not alone.
I have been told that the best way to get over a fear is to immerse yourself in it.
That sounds incredibly hard to do. Have you seen Batman Begins?
We could try and figure out where the fear comes from.
Are you afraid of your own death?
Are you afraid you will die before you reach your potential?
i had a death fear from fear of living
and being and not being loved
im afraid of feeling to much when there
i think it will be to much of a wave
.i can be very empathic to situations
and to be right in it
will be over load
i have thought on this before
emotion will be to high for me
its scary
like something is dragging me there
its a world away
how the hell am i being brought there
perhaps because this is the opportunity to conquer the fear.
i mean, where else could you go that you\'d be surrounded by death?
not only death, but murder?
I have been working on this very issue with my therapist. I too can
be empathetic to the point where i get lost.
it\'s boundary stuff. it sounds trite, but it\'s not.
we can plan what will happen if you get overwhelmed, k?
or, you can always turn down the job, no? do you feel powerless?
you can repeat, over and over, that it is sad. yes, it is sad. you can feel the sadness but it\'s not YOURS.
there is nothing you can do. you are only one person. it is in the past. it is not your pain.
it can trigger pain inside you though.
