Yay!

Today was such an interesting day....first day back at work....chaotic to say the least but it will all get done before the kids....8/13...anyway I spent time talking with one of my co-workers in the district whose daughter died less than a year ago...He is such a gentle soul, as well as his wife, so I just listened...it's like he just couldn't stop talking telling me about his daughter, telling me about stupid things people say, telling me of his daughter that is now home alone.....I was so blessed to listen and know what's that like...to talk to others who KNOW.....

I had told you all the stuff I had done to locate Patrick, Hunter's dad, trying to prepare for Thursday....well Patrick's mom called me today and said she tries and tries to get ahold of him, most of the time with no luck but she would definitely try and in no way did she want to create any problems. She talked of meeting Hunter when he was an infant and requested a picture so I will do....while she was talking to me, she said "just a minute" - let me call you back - Patrick is calling....What a God wink!!! She did return my call with a phone # of Patrick in Pennsylvania - would not get me an address but did say she would mail him the summons to him and get a card signed when he gets it and then forward it to me....yay!! She also said Pat wanted to talk to me so I called him.....Talking to him was so surreal.....He asked questions about Hunter, grades, personality, etc...I was honest with him - told him I was trying to obtain legal guardianship - he knew Jennifer had died - he asked how, and for how long had she been sick so I talked with him.....He would not get me an address and he did state he had gotten into some trouble in PA - a bar fight, injuring another person - he has a court date in Sept for aggravated assault and may go to jail/prison.....sad but blessing for me....anyway I asked him to write a letter stating I could obtain legal guardianship and sign & date it...HE DID....WROTE THE LETTER, TOOK A PICTURE OF IT, TEXTED TO ME....I printed it - I'm hoping on my phone showing the phone # it came from proves it was from him in PA......anyway better than I had and I am hopeful. Patrick knows the family that Hunter is living with and said it sounds great - he said "they are family to Hunter & Jennifer" - I said I know....Hunter is doing well - loves being home in Riverside.

Hunter has a half brother who is 7.....I wanted to share with you all - triumphs and trials -....sending much love and hugs tonite.....Vicki

Everything feels as if it\'s unfolding in the best way possible. I am reading this journal and thinking... Look at how this is coming together and with ease too, not that this is an easy thing or that you have not worked your back side off, yet I hope you know what I mean by that... It is flowing and what a blessing on ALL levels!

Triumphs, trials and tender mercies... Just wow, my friend, just WOW!!!!

YOU are a blessing and a heart with ears and I\'m sure Patrick needed to be able to talk to you, hear about Jennifer and about Hunter and this just feels like a full circle moment to me.

Just the BEST news ever and I know there is still more to do, yet do you feel the wind behind your back now and so many of the obstacles removed??!! I do! Spirit is SO attentive and the Universe is with you because everything you are doing IS in Hunter\'s best interest.

Thanks so much for sharing and an early birthday gift for the almost birthday girl! I have complete confidence that this will continue to feel like this for you and that the most challenging part is behind you now. Woo HOO!!!!!

Much, much LOVE and peace to your heart,
XO Joanie

That is wonderful!! I know you were a blessing to the man who had lost his daughter. Just to have someone to talk to, who totally understands is indeed rare. That is why FMO is such a God send to so many.
Big hugs to you & Hunter !!

It is so nice that you were able to listen, really listen - with a knowing heart to what the man who lost his daughter had to say. We have all been through much of this and it is so difficult. I remember the beginning of the chaotic school year and it is nice to talk to coworkers and catch up betweeen the chaos.

I hope all pulls together for you and Hunter with as few difficulties as possible. Thanks for updating us.

Sending love and prayers...

This sounds really good and I\'m so glad you had a positive conversation with Patrick and he\'s not going to interfere with getting Hunter in a good place with your help. Best of luck as you go forward. Hugs, Laura
