Thankful

Hello SOTH - I want to tell you what happened to me last Wednesday eve.  I went to church (not really wanting to as all day I had been tearful and didn't really feel like being around people) - however I decided to go knowing I would feel better after.
I was sitting on the aisle and this elderly lady along with her daughter came and sat beside me. This lady (her name is Ellie) introduced herself and looked at me and said "are you tired?" - I began to cry and said I'm so sad today, I lost my daughter in November and some days I am just so sad. She looked at me and said "21 years ago, I lost my son and it is still difficult, especially with his grown children". She also said to me many things, but one of them was "it will get better" "you will never ever forget your daughter and your heart will hurt BUT you will learn to live with it or carry it as I have been told before by you wise sisters. Of course Ellie also talked about God and how perfect His plan is and I must keep on keepin on. Lean on God.....
This little lady is having health issues - deafness, losing hair, some type of autoimmune disease going on but she asked for my phone number to call me on Friday morning because she calls people in need to encourage them. Sure enough, on Friday morn she called and left an uplifting message....
I needed Ellie at that time, that moment, that second....WOW....God knew.....I look at it as a  "God Wink" from Jennifer too. Just wanted to share.....my tears were still there but my heart had hope....Much love to you all - Vicki

That is so wonderful to hear. God IS faithful through this. He shows up in the nick of time if we remember to let a Him. I am so glad you went to church, pushing past your fleshly desire to shut down. We are always blessed when we do that. Like the lady says...keep on keepin\' on. Love you, Lauri

Wow. I\'m not sure I believe everything happens for a reason - but sometimes.....they just do! You met at exactly the right time to help each other and that\'s a gift for you both. Take care ~ Joanna x

Last year I felt so abandoned by those who were in good health and able to go to the retreat. (I am disabled.) It was my fourth year and his angelversary often falls during retreat timing. I was ordering African Violets on eBay in a compulsive buying flurry. I asked one of the vendors online a question and he responded he didn\'t understand my question. I tried again and his wife said she did not understand my question. I told her apparently I was not making sense because my son had died four years prior. She responded to me saying something like, \"Let me offer my hand in friendship across the miles.\" I appreciated that so much and thought of it as a wink as well.

My dad remarried a little over a year ago and my stepmom also lost a son. I don\'t feel abandoned this year. God does provide!

So very beautiful and the timing was just perfect. I simply adore these happenings and healing times that are the glue that keep us put together even in those moments we don\'t feel that we are.

What I envision are two earth angels named Ellie and Vicki sharing their hearts. This makes my heart glad, very, very glad.

Lots of love dear friend,
XO Joanie
