Another One

Another young person has joined our angels.  Saturday a week ago Kevin Wise, 17, a senior at Southern Wayne High School was found in his bed by his mother that morning.  His mother went to school with my brothers.  Kevin had just accepted a 4 year scholarship to University of North Carolina (UNC) to play baseball.  This has upset me so much.  Another young person that had his whole life in front of him.  Again I ask WHY WHY WHY and what sense do this make.  His is laid to rest at the same place Josh is.  Services where held at the school.  I could not bring myself to attend.  To many memories flooding back from 5 years ago.  Please keep his family in your prayers as we all know what they are going through.
Yesterday John and I had another road clean up for our precious Josh.  38 people showed up to help us.  We do this for Josh but like John said last night it drains you.  I said yes mentally and physically.  We miss our Josh so much just like all of you.  The void in our hearts will never be filled.
To our Dear Barbara,  Barbara was one of the first ones to reach out to me on DS.  I realized on Friday that I have been a member for 5 years this month.  I can't tell you where I would be without DS at the beginning and FMO.  Probably in the crazy place.  John and I traveled to Charleston for the first retreat.  Scared to death.  Barbara hugs.  WOW and WOW.  Those of us who were blessed to have them know what I am talking about.  Our Barbara was a grieving mother like the rest of us.  Her heart was broken.  That amazing soul pulled us all together.  Barbara has a special place in our hearts.  She was there in the darkest times of our lives. We love her and miss her.  I can picture her in heaven giving my Josh a big hug telling him for me how much I loved him.  She knew that I was a problem I have had not knowing if Josh knew how much I loved him.  She would always tell me he knew.  I thank God for Barbara Smith and her baby FMO.
I love you all.

I am so sad to hear that another young person has left us. Every time I see that a young person had died, I say a prayer for the family, especially the mother.
I never realized how much energy is expended by grieving. And that exhaustion comes back with a vengeance when we see or do something that was close to our beloved children.
I hope the mother of that young man finds FMO. It has been a godsend for me. I only knew Barbara a short time online. But I thank her every day.
Hugs, Marlene

I\'m so sorry to hear about anothers mom\'s loss - there\'s no sense to any of it. Very difficult for you, I\'m sure, being so close to everything and many memories.
More power to you for your clean up - that in itself is a bittersweet thing. I am sure you find it emotionally hard at the same time as being therapeutic. I always thought i would continue with Relay for Life, as we did when David was ill....a focal point once a year for us and friends...but just can\'t do it.
Never knew Barbara but what a wonderful friend she sounds. Peace to you ~ Joanna

I have a cousin is a Baptist minister and so is her husband. She text me on Thursday asking me to pray for a family that her husband was conducting the funeral for that day. He was a 16 year old that died in his sleep...they believe some type of seizure. So, so tragic. Like you...I am grateful for that bubbly little woman for swimming through her grief enough to create FMO. Love you...Karen

Loving care to Kevin\'s family and to you dear friend. I\'ve been thinking about you a lot as of late and am glad to read about how you are feeling and what you are up to. Wish I could join in on the highway clean up as I can only imagine how that feels for each of you. Of course, these kinds of things are draining yet so amazing to see the turn out of all those that love you, John and love Josh.

Thinking of you and do you know what??? You give those kind of hugs dearest Rhonda that you speak of about Barbara. I know... I have been the lucky recepient of them.

Love YOU and the tightest of (((hugs))) ever!

XO Joanie
