Mom

Was just notified that mom's surgery is complete. No bypass was needed, just a valve repair. This was frightening to us because she was precariously unhealthy going in to surgery: failing kidneys, inability to eat, saturated lungs, and diabetes. But she is out of the OR, as of a few moments ago.

Maybe now my headache will go away and I'll be able to sleep!

I hope so, Devin.
Matt, I see the reflection of your mother so much in you. She shines through you. We all are so blessed by those characteristics that she instilled in you. At the retreat last year, it was so nice to meet her and witness the love that she had for you. Her smile spoke volumes to me! I believe that she was beaming with pride at all that you had worked for, accomplished, and gave to help each of us. What a wonderful moment for a mom!

Big hugs & much love,

Andrea

My heart hurts but also rejoices. I knew she had to be a woman with some very special traits. And River...how astute he is. Again prayers are with you all.

Something my counselor told me after the loss of my mom was that he found is that where the personal loss of your mother\'s being on earth gives way to a more to a more expansive connection with the universe. I found this to be true and comforting though it. Thank you for sharing her positive words for you with us.

Much Love.

My mom was also in ICU and i know not much prepares you for it. I am glad she was able to stay pleasant though it.
