3 ways my life is better sober

1. Being sober keeps my bipolar disorder in check, keeps me from getting more depressed as alcohol is depressant.

2. Keeps me from embarrassing myself by getting obnoxiously drunk and out of control when I feel the need to use alcohol to deal with life rather than deal with it properly

3. I've learned to let loose and have fun without the aid of alcohol. I am able to relax and enjoy social situations while sober rather than feel like alcohol consumption is an expected norm. An added bonus is I can have fun, meet new people, and not have alcohol inhibit me in any way, I am in control.

Control is key:
-bipolar disorder
-my life & emotions
-my scenario & myself

I have taken my negative alcohol experience and turned it positive. My sobriety tattoo will say control. Being sober has given me control over my life in so many ways. I can control my bipolar disorder, I can control how I deal with negative emotions and instances, I can control how I act, my inhibitions and surroundings. I was able to control myself that night, I didn\'t go and get drunk, I didn\'t fall completely apart. This accident taught me an important lesson. So what if the count restarts, I\'m still in control.
