I was just worrying about whether I'm getting manic, til I remembered Jesus said never to worry. I haven't been getting much sleep lately because I've been spending a lot of time in prayer during the night. Today I have a meeting with a vocational rehabilitation counselor, and it's been a long time since I've worked and I wonder what I can do. Guess I'll leave it in the Lord's hands, especially since He already knows if I'll get a job or not.

A good way to view it. But, remember, it takes a physical being to show up for work and to get the job done. God and I will be with you, in spirit!

Hi LoddyAoddylo, I happened to come across your name and I enjoy reading journals 8). I would not normally discuss religious things on here but since it is in your journal and I love the Bible, I feel a freedom to comment here. I think when you talk about worrying that you are referring to perhaps when Jesus was talking about not worrying about what tomorrow brings. I think it is natural for you to worry about pressing issues like your mental health, within reason. However, worrying about what your mental health will bring tomorrow is more along the lines of what Jesus was talking about since mere worrying today will not change the condition tomorrow. Certainly, Jesus nor God would want you to forfeit proper sleep for your mental health so you could pray, as important as prayer is. It is an interesting thing about God's ability to foretell future events. As you probably know, God is capable of determining the future due to his perfect abilities and even his great power to will things to happen in a way that He sees fit. However, it does not seem like God always chooses to exercise that ability. Ultimately, like StarBrightGal mentioned, God gives us free will. So, it is good you are making efforts to see what you can do work-wise; I am actually in the process of doing the same thing right now. I hope you can return to work successfully.
