With much trepidation, I kept a promise to my son to take him on a day trip for his birthday. Went out with my Rotary club to a beautiful nature park complete with waterfall on one end and a beach on the other. When I lay on that rock with the water pounding on my back .. there was nothing wrong with the world.
As I feared there was a lot of driving, and a lot of walking around but I held up well. Had some discomfort toward the end of the day but did not need painkillers. Rested yesterday, will take it easy for hte next few days .. NO CRASH! ..it really felt good to be part of life again.
I am so happy I went.

well this is just all kinds of awesome.........an adventure with your son and on his birthday too! i\'m gonna put a paper hat on my head and celebrate your day out with some yogurt........sigh, i ain\'t got no any cake, so it will have to do!
that waterfall beach day sounds pretty perfect.........i do wish you could levitate, fly on a magic carpet and other crispy little details, if i ever perfect any of those tricks i promise to share how..........pinky swear you will tell me too!
there were obstacles and challenge and you were able to manage, go and do........so happy glad happy for you and for your son too! time with Mom is always good..........hugs!
