Update
Well, I made it through the holidays, but not without shedding many tears. I've been reading quite a lot lately which seems to help. It's also been pretty tough having my mother living here. I so miss the solitude and peace that came with living alone. And it's like having a child in the house again because she has limited mobility to do things for herself. I have to help her do almost everything. Also, she is drinking too much. She goes through wine like I go through pepsi. And I don't like who she becomes when she's drunk so when she starts drinking I go to my room and read until she goes to bed. My counselor is adament that I should send her to live with my sister in Delaware. She thinks having her here is just unhealthy for me right now. I agree with her but just haven't found the right time or the right words to discuss it with my mother. Why did God take my loving husband and give me my mother. I wish I had an answer to that question. It just feels wrong.

I am sorry for what you are going through. You need peace and your counselor may be right you cannot handle your mom right now. Talk to your sister and explain to her the situation. I wish I had the answer for your question, but I have asked God the same thing why did he take away my husband. I don\'t know but he must have had a very good reason. Take care and hope you have a better day today. Linda
