OK. I'm at work and I'm about to totally lose it. What am I supposed to do? I feel so helpless and out of control sometimes. I can't just leave and I don't feel like I can stay....
I so very much understand how you feel. I am a nurse and used to run to the bathrooms and sometimes into the patients bathroom and have a sob fest. Even a year after my son died I was still having moments of running to the bathroom. I wish I could tell you that next week you will feel better and I can\'t. All I can tell you is that one moment you will feel in control and the next not so much. My advice is that you do not fighht what you are feeling instead embrace them and go with it . You will also find that after a while people will expect you to have moved on and you weil feel guilty because you are still heartbroken. At first when that happened to me I thought I was going crazy, I thought there was something wrong with me. The truth is there is NOTHING wrong with you and they just do not understand.
I ran out to my car and called a friend. I have a wonderful network of people who are supportive and willing to lend a shoulder to cry on. I\'m going to attend grief counseling, but I haven\'t heard from them yet. My office mates have been supportive, but I know they will never understand what I\'m going through and will expect me to move on quickly. Ain\'t gonna happen anytime soon! Thanks for acknowledging my feelings and reinforcing the fact that I\'m not crazy! At least not yet....
