I'm so angry. Why was Gene taken from me so young and so suddenly. He was my world and now he's gone. Just getting up in the morning is a struggle for me right now. I'm supposed to go back to work tomorrow and I just don't know how I'm supposed to cope. Tears just fall and there is no stopping them. The smallest tasks feel overwhelming. God, I miss him so much my heart is aching. How do I pick up the pieces and go on. I don't want to right now. I've contacted our local hospice about grief counseling. I am waiting to hear from the counselor tomorrow. I don't know how to deal with all these feelings. I can't even think about cleaning out his clothes.

I am glad you are considering grief counseling. This should help you ove through the 5 stages of grief and help you get the right kind of support around you. My sympathies for your loss. Hugs. Mia
One thing at a time, \"One minute at a time\" \"One day at a time\"...... You are loved, Sandy
Contacting Hospice is a great idea. I joined a 12 week support group after my husband died I thought I would be the only one my age there I expected to be with 80yr olds but I was shocked to see how many 50 and younger were there all with the same heartbreaking story, the loss of a loved one. It was so very helpful to be with this group. Sometimes I would talk about my husband others it was too painful I would just cry and that was OK. I listened to others and formed friendships with several widows who we still going on 2 years keep in touch, have dinner and just make sure each is doing OK. That is a good step for you to take. The one lesson I did learn which they tell you NEVER give advise but this is a valuable lesson is to NOT DO ANYTHING FOR THAT FIRST YEAR. Now I know why, I did so many stupid things only due to tremendous grief but still stupid things and you can\'t change them. The first year you are in shock so it is best to not do anything but take care of yourself. People think I am crazy I am still wearing my wedding rings I will not take them off. If they have a support group please go you will find it so very helpful.

There is help out there and for me DS has been the biggest help. Cleaning out anything is not important right now. There are no guidelines when it comes to grief. We are all on our own schedule in spite of what society thinks we should or should not do.
