Good afternoon, all. What a wonderful weekend. The hubby and I went up to our favorite little hotel in Harper's Ferry, WV, on Friday night and just got back home. It is so beautiful up there and brings back so many memories for both of us. It was really a "re-bonding" weekend for us. We go through so much "stuff" in our everyday life and sometimes lose sight of what is really important. Well, we found it this weekend. He bought me a wonderful pair of earrings made from "sponge coral". They are red with silver findings--gorgeous! We spend yesterday in the town of Harper's Ferry. They had a celebration with a civil war band playing. We just layed in the grass listening and enjoying. We use to take these trips at least twice a year before we had our son, now they seem too far apart. I think we'll go back in the fall. There is a big Arts&Crafts festival at the end of September, and he has a race the same weekend. The track is only 10 miles from the hotel, so while he's racing, I'll be walking the festival. Then we'll have Saturday evening and Sunday together. Still busy at work. It's going well. The commute is minimal and the people seem nice. Of course, there are the quirkly ones, but I pretty much keep to myself and try to stay out of the rumor mill. It's just my style. I'd so much rather be busy working and having the time fly by so I can get home to my real life which is so rewarding. I learned a long time ago not to define myself by what I do, but by who I am. Hope you all had a restful and wonderful weekend.
