AUGGHH! It's been almost a week since I wrote a journal entry. There has been lots going on here. My best friend in New Jersey has the most beautiful and intelligent Airedale named Sophie. Well, Sophie has gotten sick and we believe it is from the Iams dog food, so my friend is filing with the Menu Foods people for the $2,500 in vet bills she's paid out already. So, I've been talking to her alot and trying to keep her from blowing her cork.
Whether it is good or bad, when it rains it pours. I have my first client who I am meeting with for the second time tomorrow, along with her husband. I just need some input from him before I start rearranging his home and let him know what he is in for. Then, last night I get a telephone call from one of the salespeople I worked with in my last job and she wants me to come work for her part-time as she is leaving the company along with the only other salesperson they had. The boss decided to rewrite their commissions schedule and cut so deep into their pockets they can't afford to stay, so they are both leaving. Then I get an email from a company that I sent a resume to back on February 15th, and they want me to interview for a position as Executive Assistant to the VP of Operations. I just don't think the whole 9 to 5 job is going to work out for me. I'm too tired of dealing with the shitheads and that one person you always have in the office who seems intent on making everyone else's life miserable. I do not have the tolerance anymore. If I've become cynical, so be it. But I want more out of the year's I have left than dealing with crap 8 hours a day over which I have no control. But, I'm going on the interview anyway. It looks good to unemployment.
Speaking of unemployment, what a farce the whole system is. I had a mandatory orientation this morning scheduled for 9:30 a.m. So I promptly arrived at 9:25 a.m. and there were only two other people there. At 9:45 a.m. came the stragglers so we had to sit and wait for them to get their butts there. Then at 10:00 they send us down one floor and to another room for the actual presentation. There I am, dressed for work, with my portfolio that included my resume, job search efforts, etc., which they told me to bring in the letter they sent. I was the ONLY ONE who brought anything to this meeting, and they never even asked to see it. They didn't even ask for identication to prove I was me. So next time, I'm going to hire someone to go in my place so I can do more productive things with my time. Oh, and the topper was the kid in front of me who kept falling asleep and when his chin would hit his chest he'd bob his head back up and open his eyes. No one said a word to him. So , does he get credit for just showing up in jeans and a sweatshirt. Next time I'm going to where the clothes I paint my house in a doze while the presenter is talking. They didn't seem to care at all.
Enough for now. Hope you are all doing well. Going to go check out pages and send hugs and flowers.

Welcome to my world LOL. I work with the same kind of people that were at unemployment!!!! Unemployment aren\'t used to people like us. I did the same thing when I went and do you know when I sat down to have them try to find something I was so qualified I was told they couldn\'t help me. Figures huh?
