The interview went well as far as I could see. It was a little over 1/2 hour long and pretty lighthearted. So, I won't know anything till Friday. It was quite interesting and this could get a little long, so bear with me. I live in a small but growing county. Until I went to work for one of the county's best divorce attorneys, I knew nothing about the politics down here or who knew who or what. Now I know more than I want to. The attorney I interviewed with today practices in an entirely different county just north of here. But, don't you know it, I know her sister who practices domestic law and was somewhat of an adversary to my previous boss. Now the attorney I interviewed with knows the senior partner in the firm I worked for down here, and has, obviously, heard about the attorney I worked for through her sister. This is getting really confusing for you all, so I'll cut to the chase. The attorney I worked for down here has an ego the size of Alaska, and if he was reading this he wouldn't disagree. So I'm interviewing today and she says to me, how did you put up with it for so long. What do I say.... Ahhh, don't want to diss the previous employer but everyone from his clients, to his partner, and now this attorney all want an answer to this question. I managed a somewhat diplomatic answer and she didn't press the issue. Anyway, when I was leaving I told her she should speak with her sister about me, as we had many conversations both in person and on the phone. That's it for now. We'll all know on Friday. But, in the meantime, I gotta go update my resume on Monster and do some more job hunting.
