I really starting to feel great about my decision to quit smoking. I am reading as much literature as I can on the subject and educating myself on the challenges of quitting. Today is day 24. 6 more days and it will be a month. Well, I've read that you can make a habit in 30 days, I betting I can break a habit in 30 days. I find that I no longer as anxious as I was and that my palpitations have gone away, totally. I don't have to worry about when I'll be able to have that next cigarette and feel guilty about the cost ($4.75 a pack here). I've saved over $171.00 so far. My habit was costing me $1500.00 a year. I could have taken a lot of nice vacations for that amount of money. It makes me sick when I think of what I could have done with that much money.
No sense in dwelling on the past. I'm going to start putting what I would've spent each day in a jar so I can see my progress.
