We send a lot of hugs here at Daily Strength........when I saw this acronym today it made me feel good. We send hugs for all kinds of reasons. Sometimes the greatest hug of all is when someone expresses something that we may not completely understand and we send that all important hug.
I think we all grow from these hugs. They nurture, they comfort, they lift the heart.........make us feel understood, recognized......appreciated, that we exist........we are not alone. We are here changing, growing, transitioning, journeying into the unknown each and every day.
Hugs help us rise......help us rest, help us pray, meditate. A hug says I'm with you, I'm for you! I've got your back. A hug says here is a soft place to land........c'mere let me just give you a HUG!
It is an honor to send a hug and an honor to receive a hug........

I love this! Perfect! And I love hugs too. And you are right, they mean SO much. How many times I have logged on here at DS and seen 4 hugs at 5 a.m.....laying in her a painful funk, and just got that \"lift\" right away.
It takes so little time, but means to much to just send an \"I\'m with you\" to somebody facing surgery that day. In the isolated world of chronic illness, the HUG cannot be underestimated. It is one of God\'s little gifts that we can share together.

Loved this!! Oh the power of a hug. In person or virtual. Such an amazing gift, right? My dear sweet cousin Shelly who passed from cancer in 2006 gave the most incredible hugs. You just felt so loved. So supported. So understood. She taught me so much. I\'m grateful that we are still able to express that kind of love here on DS. Big gentle ((((HUGS)))) to you Serce...you are such a kind and sweet spirit.
