well, yesterday I told my 'significant other'. He told me that he's leave me if he ever caught me doing it again. I don't think that's very supportive. I am trying new medication and this cutting thing is helping me keep from killing myself. i like to see the blood. i imagine cutting myself on my neck and objectively standing over my limp body watching the blood pour on the floor. Actually I would prefer concrete. so would it be better to watch the blood drip from my leg or arm than from my neck as I die. I guess some people can never understand the desire to die unless they've ever desired to die themselves.

I do understand what you are saying, but it is so much more powerful, or sadder maybe, hearing it come from someone else\'s mouth. You are right, your boyfriend isn\'t supportive. That is like him telling you he would leave you if your sugars got too high if you were diabetic. Explain it to him like that. If he still doesn\'t get it, well, you are your own best psychiatrist. Good luck. And stop picturing that concrete. Picture a nice warm beach, and you in a swim suit or bikini, you won\'t be able to do that if you are saddled with too many scars. Take care, be gentle to yourself.
