My weekend was HORRIBLE!!!!!  I went to work with Nursefinders, and was accused of falsifying records when it was not my fault.  I went to work at a Nursing Home, but was not orientated well at all.  The RN assumed that I knew the difference between a Pulse Ox and O2.  I told her up front that I have worked in the hospital setting for about 2 years, and have associated the 02 as a percentage of oxygen in the blood.  Well, at this place the Pulse Ox is the O2.  Does that make sense?  I told her that I had them mixed up, but its like it didn't even matter.  She later talked to another nurse becuase originally she was not going to write me up, but then after she talked to the other nurse, she changed her mind.  I was furious!!!!  My anxiety and depression went up immediately.  I told her what she wanted to hear, but on the paper, I mentioned she needed a write up too, and ironically she signed to it. On Sunday, after I worked that night shift in Attica Long Term Care, I was exhausted.  I worked earlier that day with Interim from 12-6, then came home to sleep before I went to work with Nursefinders in Hutchinson.  I struggled to wake up, and asked my fiance' to call them up for me.  They told him that I needed to call in 2 hours in advance.  I told him that it was not in the paperwork, so he passed it on.  Eventually they said for me to call up on Monday, plus they wrote me up for it.  I did not want to put my life in danger as well as my patients, but its like it didn't matter. Today, I recieved a phone call at 9:30 a.m. from Nursefinders, and it was HORRIBLE!!!  I remained calm on the phone, but was treated HORRIBLY!!!  I was belittled, and told I needed to be responsible as well as to stop playing games.  I somehow remained calm, and knew that it was not professional how she was treating me.  She ended by saying that I was given a warning, and if it happened again, then I would not have a job.  (I am crying now again).  I immediately called a friend up, and she told me how terrible the company is, and how they do that to a lot of people, and that I am not the only one, which made me feel better.  I know i did the right thing, but hate how I feel.  In a few weeks, I am going to send in my resignation.  Can you give me input if there is anything else I need to add to it based off of what I told you?  I normally keep jobs, but I refuse to be treated like this.  Know what I mean?  I also filed a complaint with the BBB. Here is what I have: I have enjoyed working for you as a CNA, but have concluded that I am no longer going to due to a variety of reasons.  Here are my grounds for quitting.  1.  I was responsible, but was treated with disrespect  2. The clients are more important than the employees; therefore, there is no equality in the workplace  3.  Many assumptions took place during the conversation, which the employer belittled her employee in the process.    Any thoughts on what to add?  I hate how I feel.  I hate it real bad.  I know in my heart with both situations I did the right thing, it hurts real bad. I will send you all a new job update probably tomorrow, which will be better for me because it will be in my field.  Praise the Lord!!!

I am sorry you experienced all of that. It sounds horrible. I don\'t know more of what you could have done in the situation. They didn\'t seem to want to give you a chance at all and in that case I wouldn\'t know what to do only to work harder, apolgize and do your best and learn the rules of the place. You are just starting out maybe this is how they train, the belittle to have you learn it faster, maybe that is the work enviornment. I think this is the way some places teach. They have to be rough and all you can do is do the best you can do. Good luck with everything.

Your doing what you can. Resigning is a good idea. I heard a few years ago that nursing is a rough career. Maybe a friendlier environment would be a small nursing home or clinic.

I was in a similar situation on Friday. A few of the ladies I worked with have not liked me since I started working there. They told lies about me to the boss and I was called to his office. When he confronted me about what they said I said, I told him I was not working anywhere where people told lies on me. I got my things and left. You are so much more level headed than I am because regardless of how bad I needed that job, I will not allow people to treat me like that. We are human and should be treated as such. Good luck with this situation and definately don\'t take any crap from those people.

First of all it is not your fault.

Find somewhere else that will love you.

Now about that letter.
You don\'t need to go into detail of why you are unhappy with the place. It will not matter to them because it seems that this happen before to others so just a simple note like this one below .... I got the sample from the internet.

Also if any thing in the future happens with this nursing home and someone ever needs a truthful person....well you are one. If you tell them all that the company did wrong in your letter then if you are needed in the future like within the court system per say will think it is just revenge.

Does that make since?

I have been in similar situations in places of work and all I can say if when you are hating who you are working for both you and the patients suffer. Your health suffers because you are so unhappy and the patients suffer because they need nursing staff who are on the ball and not pre-occupied.
Good luck

Oh and you may need to monkey the words around to fit your situation.

I think your on the right track with this.. I would just tell them they are unprofessional at best, and you will be moving on. :) Don\'t let what they think or say or assume of you determine your feelings today.. if you know and feel in your heart you did nothing wrong, then this is their problem and they lost out!

I think that what you have there has covered all the places and another right move was filing the complaint with the BBB. I am proud of you for being so strong through this, I can\'t even imagine what you have been through. No one deserves to be treated that way and I am glad that you decided to resign. \"You\" are more important than anyone or anything else and I think you made the right decision. Keep us posted.

You or anyone else do not deserve to be treated like this! no job in the world is as important as your own well being, if it were me I would have told them where to stick their precious job! If they are too stupid to see that they have an employee who is caring and honest then thats their loss, dumbasses! There are plenty of jobs out there and there are plenty of companies who treat their staff with respect, I pray you find the one where you can be happy. Don\'t let them get to you just laugh at their stupidity. Take care.

I am so sorry this happened to you. If the company is doing this to other employees, there is something wrong with them...NOT YOU or the other people they did this to!!!! From what you wrote, you did everything right, especially the letter to the BBB. I would go a step further and go the highest person in charge and try to explain to them what had happened, but most of all...stay positive. Like everybody said, you did not deserve to be treated like that, in person or on the phone.
