Today has been a GREAT day!!
Meeting with Dr Frenkel went well. He said to me that he really appreicated me having enough trust in him to allow him to read my journal. He said that it is very helpful. Lastly he said that he did not get through the whole thing (shocker!) and asked if it would be okay for him to keep it and return it tomorrow so he could finish it. I just started laughing. He asked why and I stated that all I could think of last night was him sitting at his house on the sofa, reading my journal in his spare time. I just find it funny. I told him he might need to drink a bottle of wine to finish it up tonight! haha
Anyways, he asked me to write about my anger towards my mother. I told him I would never be able to finish...seriously. I told him that it is all pretty well described in my journal. So then he said, well maybe you can write about how things will be different this time when you get home and what you plan to do when you go back home. I told him I had already written about it and it was at the end of my journal. So he said that instead of giving me an assignment today, he was going to give himself the assignment to finish reading my journal! love it lol!
Anyways...today we baked muffins. Played a few games. Two other girls and I made a large painting on a mural. AND....my mother visited....I was shocked. I had no fucking clue. And....shockingly....it went well. She did make the comment, "look, your fingers aren't that bony! you're finally getting some meat on you." I calmly told her that those kind of comments were not appreciated and did not help with my image and thoughts about myself. I explained to her that I have liked my bones and am still not comfortable losing them. So being reminded of it is not helpful. She laughed. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. She is annoying no matter what. She said she is coming back tomorrow. I dont really want her to but I DESERPARTELY need more shampoo and conditioner :(
Lastly, we have had our power out since 1315 today and the hospital has been running on a generator. Major rains and winds right now....but kind of boring. Hoping I see more action with the weather outside.
But ya....breakfast was SUPER difficult for me since they added a supplement to it. But I did it.
xoxo

A supplement at breakfast - yuk. Your mother has not clue - nothing has changed.
I guess you gave Dr Frenkel more than he can handle lol, way to go.
RULE NUMBER 1: Never tell a recovering anorexic they have less bones (what do they think that our bones melt away? - no pun intended), that they look fatter (that word beginning with an \'f\' could mean several things) and not even that they look good. Hell, remember your mother isn\'t even yet at rule number 1, go slowly with the next few!!!!!!
thats so funny about your journal with the doctor. he\'ll know everything by the end. your mother is in another world, and will always be there, unfortunately. never good to say any comments to a recovering ed. bad. keep up your great work, you are so awesome!!
You never had a supplement with a meal Karin?? damn i\'m jealous. I calculated last night and I\'m on about 1000calories of just supplements alone!!!!
Those rules are sooo accurate! You\'re right....she\'s no where fucking close to rule 1!!!
Thanks Ann....ya I can\'t wait for my session with my doctor today!
We had our supplement with snack . I had 8 oz, a carb + a protein 3 times a day. Just the supplement had 1000 cals for the day. I feel your pain, bubba.
