update
Hi Everyone,
We are still hanging out here in NC, grateful for every day and even every hour.
Steve has dialysis 3 days a week, 4 hours at a time. We moved to a nicer facility and he is coping better there. It is about 8 miles farther but he is happier there. So up and down the road I go. I usually drive home because it is hard to fill 4 hours hanging out.
The cancer has spread and he continues to take chemo daily and it is hard taking that and doing dialysis, but we don't complain because life is just so precious.
I miss talking to all of you, my dear friends. I pray all of you are doing ok and going on with your lives. I know it is coming to me also and I dread the day. I am not the strongest of people and I would appreciate prayers for me too.
My love to each of you,
Wanda

Dearest Wanda, I was so happy to see that you\'ve written. I have been thinking of you and Steve a lot. Thank you for checking in with us.
I know you must be so busy and also greatly stressed about all that is happening to Steve. You are right about every day and hour being so precious. You have more strength than you know. After all, the road you have traveled with Steve fighting this cancer has been very long and challenging and you have done a remarkable job. We are all here for you however should you need some shoulders to lean on. If it weren\'t for your love and support, as well as that of all my DS friends, I know I wouldn\'t have gotten through my dark days as I did. The power of love, understanding, and a good listening friend will lift you when you need lifting. Just reach out to us anytime. I will keep both you and Steve in my prayers. Love, Linda
Hello Sweetie!
Good hearing from you. It really does sound like you stay super busy. Really don\'t like learning that Steve\'s cancer has spread. That is such painful news to hear....I remember it too well. Steve is an amazingly strong man to endure dialysis and the chemo. God bless him!
Wanda, you must take care of yourself. You\'ve been such a trooper all these years. I, too, pray that you will lean on all of your dear friends here. Without them, none of us could make this journey. Please call me anytime (803/774-4420). Know that I am ALWAYS HERE FOR YOU!
I love you, girl!
Ingrid
Dear Wanda,
My heart goes out to you and Steve as you continue the battles with the monster cancer. Everything Linda said so beautifully here is echoed by me. I could not have said it better so she speaks for us.......please try to do things that may reduce your stress level whenever possible. We are here for you as you were here for us!
Love, Gloria
Dearest Wanda, I am so sorry to hear your news. You two have fought such a battle. Don\'t doubt your strength. You have more than you know. Your strength has supported both you and Steve for a long time. I have both of you constantly in my prayers. Do take care of yourself. I worry about you and your diabetes. I am here for you when ever needed. You helped me so much when I needed it. Love Jane
Oh Wanda it\'s so good to see you here - I think of you and Steve very often. Of course you have my prayers. As Gloria says, Linda puts everything so well, and I just can\'t say it better.
Look after yourself as much as you possibly can - the role of carer really takes its toll, especially when you\'ve been battling for so very long.
Love and light to you

Thank you all so much. I promise to check in more often. And Linda you always know how to say the right things. I will always remember going through the deaths of M, D, and Tommy, and later with Ray, and so many others! I love you all and you bring such comfort to me.
With love and admiration,
Wanda
Sending much love and prayers for you and Steve.
Dear Wanda,
Thoughts and prayers for you and Steve. As Meriel said, the role of carer does take its toll so please be kind to yourself and look after YOU. I echo everything that Linda has said. Much love xxxx
Wanda, it was really good to hear from you but I\'m saddened by the obstacles that Steve faces each day. You, whether you know it or not, are very strong and brave to take each day as it comes and pray for the best. I\'ve been off the site for sometime and finally got in touch with Ingrid a week or so ago. I feel terribly guilty about not keeping in touch but know please that you are thought of often and always loved. Remember to take care of yourself as well. Much love and admiration, Andrea
Wanda, I have been unable to check this site for some time, primarily due to fear of what I would learn. My thoughts and prayers are often with you and Steve...you are sometimes thought of as my heros...if they can do this, so can we. Now Ron probably has to have total shoulder replacement surgery due to arthristis caused by Dexamethazone ... We will learn in the next two weeks. In the meantime, we will need to cancel our planned cruise to the Eastern Caribbean...but that is not the important thing. My heart hurts for where you must be. I attend a grief support group now for the purpose of dealing with \"anticipitatory grief\". What a way to live...but, as you always say, it is LIFE. Hugs, Vernell
