What do you Daydream about making the next day when it's time to go to bed? I often sleep best when I think of a recipe before bed. Tomorrow whole family is making persimmon pudding. Somehow somewhere my brother got some persimmons and we are all making it tomorrow at my house. I can't wait! I'm going to try to make a small one for a friend's birthday Monday. I hope it goes well.
Now I'm dreaming about persimmon pudding. Good night everyone :)

So mad at Xfinity! They're trying to charge me $115 per month for the same service I had been paying $50 the last four years. I took the equipment to UPS for shipping and cancelled my subscription today! Next door was a cookie shop called Crumbl. I had heard of it before but never went in until today. I don't need one more sugar fix, but maybe it will help with my sad) grieving heart....$15...

I know this is stupid, but after not being able to find a job after graduation for almost two years, I ended up just taking an online teaching job because I couldn't find anything in my field. I was trying to get out of teaching and I feel so devastated. I felt this crushing feeling when I signed the paperwork and when I was in the meetings. I know that sounds so dramatic but it is how I felt. It...

I also dream of coming home to these amazing meals already made and waiting for me at the table.
My poor guy would absolutely try if i asked him to but I know it would be a disaster so I don't even bother. I never tell him this of course. He couldn't even handle making me dinner from canned food lol
No seeds or skins, no red meat and no ruffage, no nuts no corn and the list goes on, lol bt i still eat well
The pudding is like a traditional English pudding, not the instant custard stuff. It is like a wet cake with no icing, served with whipped cream. Some people make it more like a bread. It is spiced with stuff you would use in pumpkin pie, like cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Recipes differ. Some people use a lot of ginger, some none at all. Some people use allspice or pumpkin pie spice. And everyone thinks theirs is better lol.
A persimmon is a peach color, with a cap and a tail, very thin skin, and seeds. You have to remove the cap and tail, then run them all thru something to separate everything so you just get the nice clean pulp. You add that to flour, sugar, eggs, and whatever and bake it to get pudding.
I've seen persimmons in the store that were huge. Those are from Asia. The ones where I live are about the size of a cherry. So it's a lot of work to get enough pulp for one pudding. It's a traditional fall treat that I guess I took for granted. I thought everyone knew about persimmon pudding lol!
