Women who Love too Much Community Group
WHEN BEING IN LOVE, MEANS BEING IN PAIN... This group is to help women through the journey of realizing they can love themselves. To help realize that they are capable of having a happy, healthy, whole relationship and break the cycle of abuse and heartache from loving emotionally unavailable men.
My road to recovery just got blocked bigtime. :(
Can't stop thinking about him...
OK, here's what I think. Far too long, we have made decisions on our feelings. I was warned about this but I didn't get it at the time. Struggling between what I thought was intuition and decisions.
Speedy is right - he needs to make changes for HIMSELF, not for the relationship. If it is for the relationship, it is a form of manipulation.
So, back to reeling in the emotions/feelings and putting them on the shelf. The issues are still the issues. You know what you will no longer tolerate. I don't know the details of your story yet . . so, assumptions are, because you're here on WWL2M, you've been desperately hurt and have reeled in the shock at how intense breaking off the relationship is. Therein lies your own compass - something was terribly wrong. Even if he does WISH he could make things different, your responsibility is to take care of you. IF he decides he's sick of life as he knows it and gets desperate for change, he will do so for HIMSELF.
Hold steady . . grieve the what could have been . .. even the what was (good times) . . . but know words mean nothing without action. And, his life, I would imagine, hasn't been full of taking responsibility for his world.
I don't know what to do...
I believe the answer will come to you Miss. I also have noticed that your posts are more positive, more encouraging of yourself and more logical as time goes by without him.
Do you feel you are healing at all? It sounds as if you may be.
xx
I don't know..
