Well I'm not jumping teh gun yet. Not with a few msgs. We'll see how he is on Friday

So here's the latest:

He msgd me this afternoon asking me where I'm hiding. We chit chatted flirtaciously for a while. Then I asked if he was coming on friday night, to which he asked me if I wanted him to. Sure, i do.
here's the thing: the night I saw him a few weeks ago, his good friend who is a very good looking guy, very smart and successful too, was also flirting with me but he was a little more obvious. He was basically flirting with everyone in sight, so I humoured him but I was in no way interested. Sooooo, F (my guy) thought that I was interested in R (his friend). He said he thought I was being friendly with him and that he and R were only invited on Friday so that I could get a foot in the door. I guess that explains some stuff.
Anyway..we'll see.

just a thought...but sometimes people are online but not even at their computer...sometimes they dont log out...or he could be involved with someone else .... but still looking...so hard to say...It's ok to give him a chance...just be smart and keep your eyes open. We do tend to get too far ahead of ourselves too quickly....

yeah, I'm REALLY cautious after my last burn. I've known this guy for a while and my best friend is very close with him too. His last relationship ended a year ago. It lasted 6 years and she left him to go work in another province, where she's originally from. I saw him regularly at a bar we hang out at, knew of him through our mutual friends...he is in fact single.
And yes, I do tend to get ahead of myself, which I'm guilty of in this instance. But yeah...my eyes and ears are open.

Missmom... Don't waste your energy on wondering if he is interested. You are too good to waste thoughts on someone who doesn't realize how great you are. I've done that too many times. When I first met my ex we went on 2 dates and didn't hear from him for a week. I was like WTF? Ran into him and he said he was going to Texas for a month to see his kids and he assured me he was interested and to let his actions speak louder than words. About a month in , right before he comes home, he texts to say I should make time for my favorite guy. My response? Um no thanks. I said your actions indeed spoke louder than words. He said but I was on vacation in Texas. I said, you phone doesn't work in Texas? I blew him off. He endlessly pursued me after that. I look back at how strong and confident I was then. And I fast firearms now after 2 years and multiple heartbreak with him.. And his words ring true "let my actions speak louder than words". You are fabulous! If he can't realize this is his loss! It's funny to read thsi now. Since I last wrote in this thread we've had some constant contact. He's shown more and more interest, sending me some sweet msgs here and there, all the while I've been guarded and kinda cold really. This morning he chatted me up on the dating site and just kinda blurted out his number. He said he's not sure if i'll use it, but wanted me to know that he likes me and would like to take me out.
