Women who Love too Much Community Group
WHEN BEING IN LOVE, MEANS BEING IN PAIN... This group is to help women through the journey of realizing they can love themselves. To help realize that they are capable of having a happy, healthy, whole relationship and break the cycle of abuse and heartache from loving emotionally unavailable men.
Yes, I have been in healthy relationships and not all men are like this. In fact only about 15% of the population are disordered which means that 85% of the men are not.
I am so grateful to the healthy relationships that I was in prior to the Narc attack because it was one of the reasons that I knew something was so wrong during the Narc attack. I kept thinking: love does not feel like this. This is not what love feels like.
I remember pulling out a box of love letters from a previous relationship to remind me what it feels like to be with a man that that loved and appreciated me and treated me like a princess. And not someone who was indifferent, belittling and took me completely for granted.
If you continue to find yourself in bad relationships then it is really important to get to root of the issue, whatever that may be for you. I have found great insight in books like WWL2M, Escape from Intimacy, Facing Love Addiction and Women Who Love Psycopaths but it was in therapy (based around the book: The Journey from Abandonment to Healing by Susan Anderson - I use a therapist that I found on her website) that I was able to really dig deep into my long term abandonment issues.
I hope that every single woman who loves too much can face their deepest fears in the mirror so that we stop acting out our family of origin issues in our adult relationships.
