I finally had it. On Friday night, I had the dream - you know the one where he calls and wants you back, apologizes profusely and you take him back one inch at a time. It was so odd, it was him but it was not him. In my dream he was the better and improved version of him. When I woke up, I didn't feel as close to him as I have felt in the past few months,, I didn't feel that instant attachment I thought I would feel. It's almost like the dream was the pivotal moment to now just let go. In my dream he was a prince and I was his princess, it was actually a little nauseating, the whole feeling of it. I wonder if my subconscious is telling me: 'ok, here it is, what you thought you 2 were about. This is your dream, not your reality. Do with it what you will.'
So I woke up and felt fine. It was a dream and this is my reality. Life goes on and life is damn good.

I made myself listen to s few voice notes he sent me when we were together. It was the first time I heard his voice since we broke up. It was weird but it was almost 100% painless.
