Women who Love too Much Community Group
WHEN BEING IN LOVE, MEANS BEING IN PAIN... This group is to help women through the journey of realizing they can love themselves. To help realize that they are capable of having a happy, healthy, whole relationship and break the cycle of abuse and heartache from loving emotionally unavailable men.
But I know it's a process, and it takes time. (It felt like it took me FOREVER to finally stop allowing myself to be drawn in by my N! Actually, it DID take me forever! Ugh.) Just know I'm rooting for you, Miss. Really, it was awesome, and I think it helped that you had been away from him for a bit. Space/distance can be a great clearer of the mind and sharpener of the sword. Forgive the weaponry reference, but sometimes I think it takes nothing less than a sword to free oneself from a narcissist's web.
here's something I've noticed and I'm curious to know if any of you share this experience. When I wake up in teh morning, or after a nap even, The first half hour to an hour, I'm completely numb to the anxiety that surrounds my relationship with M. I feel happy. There is no desire to see him, hear from him. For a few fleeting moments, he is a distant memory and I feel as though I have moved on and he doesn't affect me. As the day goes on, it's almost like my brain absorbs all teh tiny particles of my addiction to him and I become totally dependant on thinking and obsessing over him.
Today I'm good. Right now I'm good. But there is no telling when I will suddenly plummet to a point of no turning back. That is usually when I start to bargain with myself about why I SHOULD send him a harmless little text. we all know how detrimental that tiny window could be to the process of healing and moving on. It's so hard. So SO hard.
