I'm off the dating sites, it's been like 3 weeks now.
I'm generally a happy person. Busy life, single mom, demanding and interesting work, Lots of family and a few circles of friends who are just wonderful. I live in a very urban city so the senses are always aptly fulfilled.
Then what the HELL is wrong with me??!
Why am I craving that mental challenge with a man? It's not even about sex or physical attention. What I miss and crave the most is that witty banter with a guy. And not just any guy, he's gotta be smart and sarcastic and thoughtful and insightful. I feel really bored right now. Everything is as good as it gets right now. You know...those pockets of time when just everything is good and peaceful and right. This is one of those pockets for me. Except that I'm mentally blahhh.
I really wish I wasn't who I am sometimes. I irritate myself.

Yes, being rejected by them feels like I'm not accepting myself. It feels like all the work I've put into loving and honoring myself - FAILED. It's debilitating.
You have't failed, the realisation you have just reached it gold...I just realised I keep finding selfish guys that won't take care of me and I am actually replaying drama from my childhood. My sister has always been my dad's favourite and there are often lots he would do for her even now, he refuses to do for me. I am still looking for "dad" to come take care of me, but deliberately picking guys who can't or won't because I feel iike I don't deserve it????Man! How screwed up is that!
Also, congrats on being smoke free! That is quite the accomplishment, keep it up!!!!!
