Women who Love too Much Community Group
WHEN BEING IN LOVE, MEANS BEING IN PAIN... This group is to help women through the journey of realizing they can love themselves. To help realize that they are capable of having a happy, healthy, whole relationship and break the cycle of abuse and heartache from loving emotionally unavailable men.
You're welcome!
I've been a compulsive apologizer for years. It drove me nuts, as well as other people, because I didn't have anything TO apologize for.
I've been working on a formula for living, lately. I've been pulling stuff from here, there, everywhere... all good places of course.
And what I'm doing now is focusing on what I feel.
This is what it looks like:
"I feel [break it down to the simplest terms: sad/mad/glad/upset/uncomfortable/shaky/funky/etc...]."
"I want or do not want [fill in the blank-but it cannot be about anything but what YOU want or do not want, it cannot be about someone else's actions or thoughts or speech]."
"What do you think?"
Be firm in how YOU feel. It can take some getting used to. I'm a person who never ever trust their emotions... they're dirty, they're unclean, they're messy.... and I grew up just ignoring them and stuffing. Becoming NUMB... unless I'm in pain, and then I can focus on the PAIN and the OTHER PERSON.
So I'm beginning to retrain my brain and my heart. It's HARD!!!!!!!! But, it's worth it. REALLY.
